I sure am. My name is Shayla Owodunni, the founder and managing director of Corporate Carpentry Consulting.

I spent my corporate tenure tirelessly building what I thought was my perfect seat meant to fit at the proverbial 'table'. You know, the table where opportunities are created, crucial decisions are made, and dreams are actualized?

 

I was climbing the ladder and ready to reach the top! All until I came to realize, my blueprints should be shared, not with those already sitting, but with people like myself; in search of the ideal chair, or rather, a customized business strategy or process improvement breakthrough. ​After a whirlwind of experience and adventure in Seattle, Washington, I knew the time was right to 'open shop' in my home state of Minnesota; with a mission to operate with precision, integrity, and tenacity.

 

With a background in IT Internal Audit, Information Privacy, Program Management and IT Governance, Risk and Compliance, I have industry expertise in the Healthcare, Travel, and Retail sectors. I have extensive knowledge in Program Management, Internal Audit Processes, Compliance Framework Implementations, Control Remediation, Contract Review, and Process Improvement.

 

Through over 10 years navigating Fortune 500 corporate roles, Corporate Carpentry Consulting also provides executive presence, resume review, and keynote speaking to motivate and create change in the workplace.

 

As the founder of Corporate Carpentry Consulting, I thrive on building meaningful relationships while skillfully executing business objectives. Likewise, providing innovative, value-added solutions enlivens the work I do. Each client that entrusts Corporate Carpentry with their business pursuits will always be met with a welcoming seat at our table. As your lead Carpenter, I will ensure the end product is one we can both be proud of.
